seeking a spiritual home

“All are called to the same end: God himself. There is a certain resemblance between the unity of the divine persons and the fraternity that men are to establish among themselves in truth and love. Love of neighbor is inseparable from love for God.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, §1848)

At St. Mary of the Mills, we know how important it is to have a spiritual home, a community in which to live out discipleship in Jesus Christ, to embrace the Catholic faith deeply and to grow in it, and to provide sources of real friendship and fellowship.

  • If you are already a practicing Catholic and looking for a new parish home, we are so happy to welcome you to our community and invite you to check out our Welcome Page.

  • In a special way, we warmly welcome Catholics who have been away from the Church for any length of time and look forward to helping you to rediscover Catholic faith and practice. Please see our Questions page for ways in which you can do this with or without direct assistance from us.

  • If you are seeking to become Catholic, we’re excited to meet and welcome you and to help determine the best path for you. Be sure to contact us if you simply want to talk about any topic. Or see our Four Phases of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) for a description of the process of becoming Catholic and guidance on next steps.

No matter what your desire or situation, please contact the Parish Office on 301-725-3080 to connect with someone who can help you find a home in our community.
