for those seeking answers to questions about the catholic faith

Finding the answers to your questions about the Catholic faith is critical to your ability to apply the faith to your life. We are created with intellect and reason as well as the capacity for faith - to believe in what we do not see or which cannot be proven. Pope St. John Paul II wisely said that, “Faith and reason are like two wings on which the human spirit rises to the contemplation of truth.”

  • Father Larry Young. Fr. Larry was raised Catholic, the youngest of 7 kids. Growing up, he played a lot of sports, including baseball, wrestling, and lacrosse. Fr. Larry worked as a carpenter for about 5 years and has a variety of personal interests which include working on cars, hunting, and fishing. He has even hiked the entire Appalachian Trail! Fr. Larry did his college and seminary studies in Delaware, Ohio, Austria, Colorado, Rome, and Washington DC and was ordained a priest in 2003. Father has a special passion for the Bible and his spirituality centers on friendship with Jesus Christ ( “I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father.” John 15:15

  • Father Christian Huebner. Fr. Christian grew up in Nebraska with his parents and three sisters, and later migrated out east for school and a job as an attorney in Washington, DC.  He has lived in many different places, including different countries, before being ordained a priest in 2019.  He enjoys the outdoors, running and hiking, reading and writing, and long Sunday brunches, coffees, and dinner parties.  After growing up Protestant, it was especially over these meals with friends that Fr. Christian first learned about the Catholic faith; and the Lord ultimately used this path of friendship to draw Fr. Christian into the Church and fellowship in the Eucharist.

  • Deacon Jim Munno. Deacon Jim Munno was baptized into the Catholic Church as a baby but grew up with exposure to all kinds of religious congregations.  Raised as a rationalist and steeped in the sciences, his exposure to many religions and to the metaphysical led him to become a “religious cynic” who questioned much about the nature of faith and about God Himself.  In college, his love and study of science led him to search for truth wherever it could be found.  During this search his cynicism eased to skepticism and he sought to find the Creator.  He eventually felt the call of the Lord to become fully engaged in the Catholic faith and some time later was ordained a deacon.  Jim loves the Church, the Scriptures, and loves to teach.  Deacon Jim has been married to Anita for over 37 years and has two grown sons.  Jim enjoys a wide variety of activities including anything do-it-yourself or almost anything enjoying the outdoors.
