Prepare with us

Emmanuel. God with us. Jesus, the one who saves us from sin. For the Advent season, this is what we celebrate, what we meditate on, why we worship the Lord. In the midst of the busy season of Christmas—parties, gifts, family, friends, traveling, shopping—we want to invite you to have an encounter with Jesus. To experience Jesus as Emmanuel—who is with us, with you.

Adult Faith Enrichment Advent Series: join us for a two-part reflection spanning the Old Testament and the Gospels, as two of our past parochial vicars return to lead our hearts into the depths of the Advent Season. Wednesday, December 13th and Monday, December 18th. Details here.

Christmas Giving Tree: Give back to less fortunate families in our area - the advent giving tree will be in the church starting the weekend of November 18th. Please take one or more of these tags and wrap the gifts. It is very important to put the tag that was on the tree on the outside of the wrapped present. Return your gift with the tag attached and place beneath the tree by Sunday, December 17th. Gift Cards should be placed in the collection basket or taken to the parish office with the gift tag attached.

Christmas Memorial Flowers: Funds are being collected for flowers which will be used on the altar during the Christmas Season. A list of donors and their deceased loved ones will be available in the church vestibule on Christmas Day. Please complete the form below and bring it to the rectory along with your donation no later than December 13 or place them in the collection basket.

Christmas Pageant Participants: We are looking for young actors and actresses who would like to participate in the annual Christmas pageant which is held just prior to the 4:00pm Mass on Christmas Eve in the Keesler Center. This is open to any young person who is interested in helping to tell the Christmas story in a very special way. Please call the rectory at 301-725-3080 to volunteer.
