Adult Confirmation Preparation 2019
Have You Received the Sacrament of Confirmation?
If you are a baptized, practicing adult Catholic who has received the Sacrament of Holy Communion but not the Sacrament of Confirmation, we strongly encourage you to prepare for and receive this amazing and powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit!
Why Receive This Sacrament?
The effects of Confirmation are real and transformative! The Sacrament of Confirmation is “the special outpouring of the Holy Spirit as once granted to the apostles on the day of Pentecost.” This sacrament: increases and strengthens baptismal grace, unites us more firmly to Christ, strengthens the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us, perfects our bond with the Church, and gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to witnesses to Christ!
What Should I Do To Be Confirmed?
To properly prepare adult Catholics for the Sacrament of Confirmation, we offer an 8-session preparation course. Our 2019 course will be held on Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. March 21, 28, April 4, 11, 25, May 2, 9, and 16, 2019. Note: There is no session on April 18 (Holy Thursday). Following preparation, the pastor or his representative will discern with each individual readiness for the sacrament.
